Facebook for Small Business… Learn to Listen, so you can Listen to Learn!

I’m SO grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given… I love teaching fellow business owners everything I know about Facebook!

Last week we discussed how to optimize a page with keywords. We optimized our pages and they're ready to go... the next step is to create a nice banner that describes what you do and what you can do for your customers. Remember, you need to "LIke" the Laughing Bird Software Page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/Laughingbird.Software and download the software they're providing for FREE.

5 SUGGESTIONS for your BUSINESS Facebook Post!

1. Keep your updates short and to the point. Focus on creating headlines that grab readers’ attention.

2. Comment and “like” your own posts. Leverage the promotional power of your own network (as an administrator) to help get the ball rolling. Thus, having multiple administrators and moderators can be to your page’s benefit.

3. End your posts with a call to action. Encourage fans to “like,” comment or share the content.
Encourage sharing. Ask your audience questions, start conversation and reach out directly to them. This is about building a social community, not a marketing channel.

4. Post third-party articles. Share relevant content without simply promoting your own material.

5. Keep the content fresh. Offer different kinds of content — using different sources and alternating administrator voices and multimedia features.
